Water Tower Session:
Erin Duvall

Earlier this year, we introduced you to Dallas, Texas-based singer Erin Duvall via a premiere and artist essay. For the past two decades, she has been crafting spirited country, blues, gospel, and rock ‘n roll songs with powerful vocals and storytelling-focused lyrics. Last month, she released another inspirational track with the new single “Wide Eyed Wonder”.

According to the press release, “the song explores something deeply relatable: the tension between childhood imagination and adult reality, and the quiet decision to stay openhearted anyway. It lives in the emotional space between who we were before the world hardened us and who we choose to become after it does.”

The press release continues, “Wide Eyed Wonder” blends warmth, nostalgia, and emotional honesty into a track that feels both deeply personal and universally human. For Erin, the message is especially personal as a single mother of four. The song was inspired by watching her children move through the world with imagination and wonder, while also recognizing how life slowly teaches people to become more guarded over time. Rather than mourning that loss, the song asks a bigger question: what if wonder is something we actively choose to hold onto?”

You can listen to the song, which was written alongside 3-time Grammy winner Pete Sallis (Brooks & Dunn, Maddie & Tae) and hit songwriter Brian White (Jason Aldean, Rodney Atkins, Gary Allan), below:

We’re excited that she decided to recruit a guitarist to film an exclusive version of the song for our Water Tower Sessions series. She performed a stripped-down rendition of the song alongside guitarist Todd Parsnow in her self-described “Duvall Den”. You can watch the acoustic session here.

Duvall has stayed plenty busy outside of music. She is also the creator of the children’s animated series Aunty E and the founder of the nonprofit Twice the Love Foundation, which supports single parents and families in need.
