Club Paradise:
Life on TV EP
Release Announcement and “Runaways” Premiere

Hello,

I’m back with some exclusive news. Roll out the SWT announcement cannon! Yeah, we have one that we dust off occasionally. Especially when it’s been a while since our last announcement.

The Newcastle, England band Club Paradise has graciously shared some cover artwork, a track listing, and music with us! Newcastle is best known to some for its Premier League football team, but the city is much more than that. Newcastle is not only England’s northernmost metropolitan borough located on the River Tyne, but it is home to over 300,000 inhabitants. Including but not limited to friends Ryan Young (vocals/guitar), Jackson Vert (lead guitar), Harry Webb (bass) and Nathan Hogg (drums). Club Paradise released its debut single in July of 2018 and has steadily been making music and performing in and around its home since.  And their newest EP Life on TV is set to release on Friday October 11th, 2024.

In their press release, the band said of the EP: “It’s this notion of seeing what life is like, but growing up 20 years later and being in a completely different world we couldn’t prepare ourselves for. How did Homer Simpson provide that house for that entire family? Malcolm in the Middle is an absolute lie as well. Gutted.”

Here’s the eye-catching EP cover artwork:

Life on TV EP‘s tracklist consists of the following songs:

  1. Let Me Lose
  2. Chasing The Summer
  3. What If These Days
  4. Runaways
  5. Years
  6. Interstate

In their press release, Club Paradise also said, “We’re screaming Let Me Lose because we don’t have that choice anymore. There’s no fallback or safety net in life, and social media adds to that with everyone only sharing the image they want you to see. It’s not true, we’re all the same. We’re all trying to have a great time wherever we can, whatever that looks like. Just let us feel like it’s ok to lose sometimes.” Well said guys. I feel the following three singles shine light on that inward reflection and also have some incredible grooves and should provide the listener with a good, entertaining experience complete with danceable moments. After listening, what do you think?

Roll out the cannon again.  Just released a few days ago on Friday the 13th was the single “Runaways”:
