Singles Spotlight:
Daniel Schamroth – “Soul On Fire”

Hello,

How are you today?

Today, we’re back with another artist we’re happy to shed some light on. Daniel Schamroth is a British singer-songwriter who released the 6-song Major Companion EP in the early months of 2024. The EP was produced by Guy Massey, a Grammy and multi-Award winning producer, mixer, and sound engineer. Before that EP, Schamroth, who was born in picturesque Devon, England, supported Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds and shared the stage with The Charlatans and Reverend & The Makers. In addition, Schamroth fronted the indie band The Loft Band. According to the press release for this single, “The (Loft) bands 2021 debut album “Dreaming The Impossible”, released via So, Let’s Talk/Lightyear/Virgin Music, included a single titled “Flicker” featuring Grammy-winning singer Lisa Loeb, which reached Billboard’s Adult Alternative Airplay Chart in the US,” and Schamroth’s “music has been used by Formula One racing team Oracle Red Bull Racing, and featured in the Australian film Goldstone.”

On Friday, December 6th, Schamroth’s third home demo recording this fall/winter was released via the indie label So, Let’s Talk, which was distributed via Stem. The song is titled “Soul On Fire.” It was produced by Tom Greenwell and is a gorgeous song from start to finish. It has me looking forward to more songs and perhaps an album from Schamroth.

Via the song’s press release, Schamroth says, “This song was inspired by a friend of mine who used to lose their temper from time to time. It’s about that feeling of ‘seeing red’ and losing control, and suddenly everything seems like a blur.”
