Singles Spotlight:
Besphrenz –
“yeah ft. Anthony Green
& Keith Goodwin”

Hello reader,

How are you today?

Today, we’re excited to talk about another artist who is making great music: Besphrenz. The Philly-born experimental trio (pronounced Best Friends) is comprised of long-time friends, producer, and instrumentalist Rob Devious, and features dual vocalists C.J. Smith and Tay Jones. Together, they weave elements of R&B and indie rock into an indie soul soundscape to create lush, chill, and earworm-worthy Bedroom Pop music. Their first release was the self-titled Besphrenz EP (2019).

And in a few short months comes their debut full-length record, bert set to be released on October 24th, 2025 via Late Work Records. A label that was co-founded by Keith Goodwin (Good Old War, The Sound of Animals Fighting, Days Away) and Brian Lynch (Clockwise On Fire). Goodwin is also featured on bert in the lead single we’re spotlighting today, “yeah ft. Anthony Green & Keith Goodwin.” We feel it’s one of the best songs on the album, and we’re excited to share it with you today.

There are some songs you vibe with while listening, and “yeah ft. Anthony Green & Keith Goodwin” is one of them. The beats are mellow and yet propulsive as the song marches forward. It features a fantastic downtempo rhythm that you’ll be able to vibe with and move your body to. The vocals are a nice contrast. Kudos to the song composition for incorporating harmonies and trading verses. The inclusion of Anthony Green (Circa Survive) and Keith Goodwin made the song even better. It’s a song I listened to on repeat, and I think you will too.

Via the song’s press release, Anthony Green noted, “When Keith asked me about this project, I instantly said yes. Rob has been an essential part of my last few records, and all the stuff they work on is so inspired. I’m honored to be a part of this song.”

And Keith Goodwin said, “I’m always down to make music with Besphrenz. They have created a very free flowing creative space where all ideas are heard and welcomed. “yeah” is cool to me because it reminds me of “Scenerio” in that everyone in this group of friends gets a verse.”
