Singles Spotlight:
3TIMES7 – “Wait”

Hello reader,

How are you today?

Today, we’re excited to talk about another group making some great music: the London-based 3TIMES7 (also stylized 3Times7 and 3times7). The duo is comprised of Jenny Lawrence (vocals) and David Holdstock (guitar), though they were joined on the single “Wait” by Ian Wilson (drums), Hayley Ross (backing vocals), and Steve Bright (backing vocals). The song was recorded at Ignite AMR Studios in Horsham by Nick and mixed and mastered by Phil Bashford.

3TIMES7 has been making music for a while now, releasing the following albums: 3TIMES7 (2015), Dirty Money (2017), Rain in Chicago (2019), and Smile While I Sing The Blues (2021).

The song “Wait” kicks off with propulsive drumming that propels the song forward, accompanied by an upbeat, pop melody complete with lovely guitar work. Both the solo vocals and the four-part harmonies also stand out. Kudos to all involved with this one. It’s an earworm of a song that you’ll stomp your feet to and sing along with the chorus.

The awesome video for the song “Wait” was filmed and edited in Eastbourne by Josh Lewis of Racquet Studios and can be seen on 3Times7’s YouTube channel:
